Today marks my 18th birthday, me and my family are planning to celebrate by eating outside and buying any of the new film releases available on DVD.

Here's what occured during Sept. 27 in history:

Apparently, I share the same birthday as Google.

This was also the day one year from now when Jay Leno announced that Conan O'Brien will take over as host of The Tonight Show in 2009.

Today was my sister's 24th birthday. But back in the Philippines, a close relative of mine who died last Sept. 12 (Manila time) was laid to rest. Her name was Mercedes Margallo Locsin, but to me and the people she knew and loved, she was "Lola Edith". Wife to Jose Locsin, Sr. (My paternal grandmother's half-brother), mother to their 4 children and later the grandmother of their eventual offspring, Fatima devotee, and a friend to many. I got to spend a lot more time with her when I began to tag along with her son's family every Sunday. She may be strict at times, but I still enjoyed her company. I learned a lot from her about my family history through her vivid recollections and she help comforted me when I had this problem with bullies at school. R.I.P. Lola Edith, you'll terribly be missed as there can never be anyone like you.

Edward D. Wood, Jr.
Your film will be 45% romantic, 29% comedy, 34% complex plot, and a $ 30 million budget.
Ed Wood will get your film done waaaaay under budget, and will likely make it into a classic film of all time -- for all the wrong reasons. Let's face it, your life isn't terribly exciting to begin with, and it needs some camping up. His resume includes classics such as Plan Nine From Outer Space and Glen or Glenda? He's not afraid to tackle controversial topics, and may insist on portraying a transvestite in your film -- even if you've never seen a transvestite before. He was immortalized in the Academy Award winning Tim Burton film, Ed Wood -- go see it.
